The hut stands on the historic mountain pass connecting Kandersteg and the Lötschental valley and offers accommodation for 86 people. It is open in both summer and winter and offers a variety of options for mountain enthusiasts, families, school groups, winter sports enthusiasts, and anyone seeking peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle.
In 2007, the hut was extended and renovated to Minergie standards. Since then, improvements have been made annually, including modern toilet facilities, a new water supply, an additional power supply, etc. The light-filled dining room features large windows offering stunning views of the Valais 4000-meter peaks, and the spacious rooms invite you to linger. Regional products form the basis of the freshly prepared meals that delight our guests. The attentive hut team ensures that your stay will be an unforgettable experience.
