Hut now manned at all times. Attention: Access from Lötschental and Gasterntal from about 2100m completely covered in snow, not yet used and not tracked, markings only sporadically visible! Crossing over the glacier on the north side not yet marked. Winter access via Lauchernalp-Hockenhorngrat-Hütte has been tracked with the snow groomer.
From May 31st, 2024, the hut will be open and manned again. For reservations, please fill out the form on our website. For urgent inquiries, you can reach us at 079 382 71 67 or 079 449 01 47. During the holidays we are offline for a few days, but after that we are happy to be there for you almost around the clock. During the unmanned period, NO WINTER ROOM is available.
After the snowy winter and a lot of snowfall in April and May, there is still continuous snow from around 2000m. The paths are not yet walked or tracked, and the crossing over the glacier on the north side is not yet marked. Appropriate experience and equipment are recommended for access to the hut.
