Hut open, access from the Lötschental valley via Kummenalp is tracked, snowfields still present above approximately 2400m, easily passable with appropriate equipment. A marked crossing over the glacier is located on the north side of the pass. Hikers have already made the ascent from Kandersteg/Gasterntal to the glacier; from there, the vehicle track to the hut can be followed in the coming days. We look forward to your visit.
